Update - Renewal Changes for American Modern Mobile/Manufactured Home Program

AMIG

Renewal Business - effective November 15, 2013

American Modern is consolidating its two California manufactured home programs. This affects the HO-3 owner occupied manufactured home policies written prior to November 2012.

Customers whose policies renew November 15 and later will receive a replacement policy. A letter will accompany the new policy, detailing the coverage comparisons to the customer's previous American Modern Home policy.Coverage will continue uninterrupted, subject to the new policy terms and conditions, as long as the customer makes payment.

Your existing HO-3 program customers who have a replacement cost policy will continue to have a replacement cost policy. Similarly, all customers who have an extended replacement cost policy will continue to have an extended replacement cost policy. All transitioning policies will carry the enhanced coverage endorsement as well.

No coverage changes are being made to the rental, seasonal or tenant byline programs.

New owner program key points:
• Policy form M7000 (02/05) is the same as what new business customers receive today
• Earthquake coverage is optional

New program benefits:
• Medical payments are included at a $1,000 limit with purchase of liability coverage
• Personal liability options are less expensive than they were previously
• Deductible options haven't changed, however, the higher the deductible, the lower the premium

Limit increases- Coverage for jewelry, watches, gemstones and furs, audio/video equipment, personal computers, and small watercraft have a higher limit.

Limit DECREASES- As a result of the conversion, special limits on the following personal property are being lowered to $1,000:
